Festive Frugal- The Holidays on a Budget

Hey guys,

You’re probably sick to death already of Christmas and were not even in December! But we ask that you do not don the Humbug hat, but instead embrace the holiday as we are telling you all you need to know to make it a frugal [and funky!] Christmas!

In this first post we will teach you how to make your decorations just in time for the tree!

One bauble idea:

Buttons, a great way to get creative!

Make-Christmas-Button-baubles (5)

All you need is:

Polystyrene Ball
Buttons
Pearl Headed Pins
Ribbon (Approx 15 cm)

1. Take the polystyrene ball and pin two ends of the ribbon into the ball, this will make your loop handle.
2. Start to pin your buttons onto the polystyrene ball. The pearl head will hold the button into place. I also used normal dress making pins with a pearl bead to secure.
3. To fill the space between the buttons simply use some of the pearl head pins.

And that’s it!! Not gluing or stickiness, just use pins! You can even paint the Polystyrene balls as to add more colour,
